GLUCOSAMINE SULFATE

From biochemical point of view the glucosamine is involved in the metabolism of glycoproteins and lipids. The glycoproteins, also known as proteoglycans, constitute the fundamental substance of the connective tissue matrix. Polysaccharide groups contained in proteoglycans are called glycosaminoglycans (GAGs), the main constituents of articular cartilage. All GAGs contain derivatives of glucosamine.


Glucosamine is important for the treatment and prevention of osteoarthritis alone or in combination with chondroitin sulfate.


CHONDROITIN SULFATE

Chondroitin sulfate belongs to a family of heteropolysaccharides called glycosaminoglycans or GAGs. They form in the form of proteoglycans the basic substance of the extracellular matrix of the connective tissue.


HYALURONIC ACID

is vital for the functionality of the articular cartilage.


Equisetum arvense

This plant, also known as "Horsetail" is rich , in the stem, with silicon dioxide.

Silicon is a trace mineral (trace element). It is found in foods especially as silicon dioxide (SiO2). Equisetum is particularly rich in silicon. A good content of silicon is found in the whole grains, seafood (shellfish), in many vegetables, drinking water and some mineral waters.

Deficiency states of this element have shown, in animal models, a defective formation of the joints, endochondral growth deficit, defects in the articular cartilage. In animals it appears that the silicon is involved in the synthesis of collagen and glycosaminoglycans.


The Equisetum due to its content of silicic acid can be useful in case of brittle bones.


The Equisetum, precisely because rich in organic silicon and its biological properties, helps to prevent the bone demineralization thus contributing to exert reinforcing action.

The Equisetum urges the body to the formation of calcium as a re-mineraliser: the fractures are repaired and consolidated more rapidly by administering equisetum rather than calcium.


PROTEIN FEEDING OF ANIMALS

The food produces continuously cad waste and the body constantly tries its best to eliminate them. It is known that a diet rich in proteins, especially those of animal origin and in a lesser extent of vegetable origin, leads to the formation of many acid slags, but the organism is able to balance (neutralize) the acid substances in excess triggering different mechanisms. However, if there is not a sufficient alkaline basis (bicarbonate) it can not neutralize these acids to 100%. In this situation, the bone is a fundamental mineral reserve, to which the organism draws. This in a long run leads to an impoverishment of its mass - weakening it (bone weakening).

It is not so important the quantity of calcium contained in a food as the property not to subtract the calcium to the organism.


SEAWEED LAMINARIA

It is a source of several nutrients: sodium, calcium, magnesium, iron, manganese, zinc, iodine, which offers all their benefits of this substances taken in natural and not synthetic form. The calcium which is contained in the algae is a good food for puppies for the content of many other minerals.


SEAWEED SPIRULINA

It is a major source of vegetable proteins. Seaweed Spirulina contains in addiion to the proteins: fibers, Vit. B12, Vit B1, Vit B2, Vit A (betacarotene, Zeoxantine), 8 essential amino acids and 10 non-essential amino acids, magnesium, copper, selenium, chlorophyll.


SEAWEED

Spiraling defends against infection (antibodies), combats anemia, purifies the blood: it is detoxifying heavy metals, uranium, arsenic, radiation, cadmium, pesticides, chemicals in synthetic foods and environmental carcinogens (chlorophyll), is antioxidant (betacarotene, Zeoxantine), strengthens the immune system (amino acids).


PERNA CANALICULUS

Perna Canaliculus has a human-like mineral content; it contains a high percentage of proteins, carbohydrates, glycosaminoglycans (glucosamine), lipids and as said minerals.
